A 1985 Honda City Turbo II is up for sale on the eBay Motors website.
Never heard of it? That's likely because a 25-year import limit recently concluded and these types of unique cars are now legal in the U.S.
The City Turbo was the 1980's equivalent of today's popular Honda Fit, but significantly smaller. The car earned the moniker of "bulldog" for its boxy and fierce exterior.
In fact, there was actually a Honda Turbo I that sold well enough that the Japanese automaker decided to build a second, more turbocharged edition.
The car sports a tiny 1.2-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that's said to generate 109 horsepower and 118 pound of torque via a five-speed manual transmissions. The car weighs a meager 1,620 pounds, which makes it a great little car for any environment. Due to the 25-year import rule, the car's seller, Japanese Customers said that it's entirely street legal.
Can't you just picture cruising around the islands in one of these hatchback precursors?
On the inside, the car sports a black interior with blue and gray sport seats. It has some awesome old school features including a digital speedometer and a stereo that recalls the 80's smash movie, "The Breakfast Club."
